Dandruff and seborrheic dermatitis have similar symptoms. However, it’s important to know the difference so you can choose the right shampoo to treat it.

Seborrheic dermatitis is often mistaken for dandruff as they both share similar symptoms, including:

  • flakes

  • itching

  • redness

While similar, seborrheic dermatitis is much more severe. The following symptoms can be expected:
